Urine incontinence is an affliction with a high prevalence. Several types are distinguished; stress incontinence occurs most frequently, particularly in women. Urge incontinence shows - especially in ages over 65 - a more equal sex distribution. Incontinence causes much social embarrassment and generates high costs. There exist diverse therapies for the several types. Important among these are the training of the pelvic muscles in order to enhance their support function and the training of the sphincter mucles.
